Lemon Grass 香茅
Lemon Grass, or Cymbopogon, is a genus of more than 50 species of grass widely cultivated in Asia, Africa and Australia. It is well known for its citrusy fragrance resembling the lemon, hence its name as 'lemon grass'.
香茅 (xiāng máo) is also a popular ingredient in Asian and Australia cuisine, as it is known for its ability to aid digestion, improve blood circulation and uplift the moods especially if you have a headache.
It is also admired for its insect repelling properties since ancient times through to these days, where Soapies are known to grab all my available "lemongrass" soaps whenever we play Bazaar Gypsies.
It is a popular choice for most adults and children who are keen on outdoor activities.
